About Me

Welcome! I started Snakes in the Grass in 2014 after taking early retirement from a 32 year career as a law librarian. The blog’s name stems from early frustrations of getting all of my retirement benefits from my former employer, haggling with alimony issues from my first marriage, and all the travails of relocating across the country from Oregon to Florida. The original focus of the blog was on retirement and financial issues, but now I pretty much write about anything that pops into my head.

Feel free to join in on the conversation. Thanks for stopping by!
